POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We are always looking for talented young minds to join us. Currently, we have positions available for Postdoc fellows, Research Assistants, Ph.D. and MPhil. students. We also invite undergraduate students to participate in our research. If you are interested, please send C.V. and a brief statement of previous contribution to science to cgzheng@hku.hk

Postdoc Fellow Position 1 - Protein homeostasis

We are seeking a postdoc fellow to work on a project using cutting-edge chemical labeling approach to profile neuron type-specific proteomics and interactomics in C. elegans with the goal of understanding protein homeostasis during neuronal differentiation and aging and the role of molecular chaperones (e.g. Hsp70 and Hsp90) in neurodegenerative diseases.

Postdoc Fellow Position 2 - Formation of electrical synapses

We are seeking a postdoc fellow to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the formation of electrical synapses (gap junctions) in C. elegans. Specifically, the project will aim at cracking the potential "innexin code" that instruct the pairing of pre- and post-synaptic neurons that form gap junctions and also identifying any non-innexin proteins that regulates the localization of gap junction proteins and their intercellular connection.

Research Assistant - Genome editing and beyond

We are seeking a talented RA to help develop new methods of CRISPR-mediated genome editing, base editing, and RNA visualization in both C. elegans and mammalian cells.
